ReelRatings

A little help for movie night

Get your first ratings.

  1. Install ReelRatings from the Chrome Web Store, then pin it using Chrome’s extensions menu.
  2. Open a streaming browsing page with movie or series posters. If it was open before installation, reload it.
  3. Allow ReelRatings to run on that supported site in Chrome’s extension site-access controls.
  4. Available IMDb scores appear in yellow and Rotten Tomatoes critic percentages in red. Hover or click a box for details.
Open Netflix Open Prime Video

Ratings aren’t appearing?

In version 1.13.2 or later, opening the extension on a supported streaming tab starts on On this page. On other browser tabs, it starts on Discover, with title search and streaming shortcuts. You can switch tabs yourself; the popup keeps that choice until you close it.

  1. Check that “Ratings on streaming posters” is enabled in ReelRatings settings and Chrome allows access to the site.
  2. Scroll until posters are visible. Open the extension’s “On this page” tab; if the service isn’t connected, use Retry connection.
  3. A first lookup can take longer than a saved result. IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes load separately; a title may have only one available score.
  4. If a title has a dash or the wrong release, open its rating and choose the matching release. You can also report a wrong or missing rating from title details.

Streaming services

Adapters are included for the services below. Netflix is the primary experience. Other layouts are best-effort and availability varies by region and page. ReelRatings compares nearby loaded titles, up to 120 per page.

Report a rating problem

In ReelRatings 1.13.0 or later, open a rating or match chooser and select “Report a wrong or missing rating.” Review the prepared text and use Open email draft or Copy report. Your mail app handles sending; nothing is sent automatically. On an earlier version, email patelpalash57work@gmail.com with the title, service and extension version.

Share your experience

From version 1.13.1, an optional “Please rate ReelRatings” invitation can appear near the top of the toolbar popup after four separate use sessions. Openings within 30 minutes of one another share a session. “Not now” snoozes it for 30 days; “Don’t ask again” stops reminders. No tabs or streaming-page overlays open automatically. You can always review or send feedback using the links below.

Write an honest review or send feedback. Reviews and feedback are optional; all features remain available.
